I am sure we have all heard our fair share of jokes and comments about penis size. No doubt, there is pressure to be well-endowed, as this is often conflated with power and masculinity.
Unsurprisingly, only 55% of men say that they are satisfied with their penis size (1). From these dissatisfied men, 99% of them had penis sizes within what is considered the normal range! So does it matter? The answer: no!
The vagina is quite shallow in nature and the vaginal walls have more pressure-sensitive than touch-sensitive nerve-endings, meaning that pressure from girth is a lot more pleasurable than length. Furthermore, seven out of eight women report being very satisfied with their partners penis size (1). Studies have even compared the importance of genital size to emotional characteristics, like how connected people feel, and connection always outweighs.
Fun fact: Some men go to extreme lengths to try to increase penis size. Indian mystics known as Sadhus have been known to stretch their penis from an early age by hanging weights on it, while the Topinama tribesmen of Brazil encourage poisonous snakes to bite their penis to enlarge it. But as we now know, a long penis is clearly not the be-all-end-all!
